Over the last few years our events have been growing in size and scale and we have been looking at ways to expand the Youth Events Team so we can keep providing great events for young people across the Borough. To do this we are creating the Youth Events Team Scout Active Support or YET SAS. The SAS is open to all adult members of the District who want to support our events whether by catering, time keeping, providing first aid, marshalling or just turning up to lend a hand.

The plan for the SAS is that when events come around the organiser will send out an email to the SAS team with a request for help and what jobs need doing. If people are able to help out they can then let the organiser know. A large team of volunteers is vital to successfully running our events and so I hope that by expanding the size of the YET we can run even bigger, better events in future.

We are running fourteen events in 2017 and hope all members of the SAS will volunteer for as many of these as they can but don’t worry, we don’t expect you to make them all! This is an open invite to every adult in Bromley Scouting to join the Youth Events Team SAS and become part of the fastest growing team in the District.

To join the team please fill in this short form and we’ll be in touch with more details.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
